Justin Doe – Guitarist, Educator, and Professional String Enthusiast
Justin Doe is a Columbus, Ohio-based guitarist, educator, and all-around string enthusiast who has been making noise (the good kind) since picking up the cello at age 9 and the guitar at 12. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar Studies from the University of Colorado Denver and has spent over a decade teaching students of all ages how to play, practice, and actually enjoy music.
Justin currently teaches at Delaware Music Academy, where he also directs the Rock School band program, as well as at Music Royale. Whether he’s working with beginners or more advanced players, his teaching style focuses on building strong fundamentals, developing musical confidence, and keeping things engaging—because no one gets better at music by being bored.
When he’s not teaching, Justin is an active performer across the Columbus music scene. He plays guitar and sings in Gooseboys, a 90s country party band guaranteed to get boots moving, and performs in the acoustic duo Madi & Justin. He’s also involved in original projects including Im Trying and Gym Carry, exploring everything from laid-back grooves to more experimental sounds.
In addition to performing and teaching, Justin runs DoeFi Productions, where he provides mixing and mastering services along with session guitar and cello work for artists looking to bring their music to life.
Whether on stage, in the studio, or in a lesson, Justin brings versatility, experience, and a relaxed, positive energy to every musical situation—along with a near-guarantee of bringing a smile to the room.
